BEHIND THE LAYOUT

Version : Dream You
Released - June 30, 2006
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Promo photos for "Beautiful Awakening", a microphone picture that Jamie found!
Fonts Used - Century, Easy Street, and Trechbuchet MS for text
Colors Used - Browns, light grays, neutral colors
Inspired By - The song "Dream You" and randomly I was listening to Stacie Orrico's "Genuine" while making this, so probably that too. I was also inspired by Stacie's promo pictures - they are gorgeous and I loved the old-style feel of them. So I decided to incorporate that into a vintagey looking layout. Jamie gave me the idea of putting an old style microphone (like the one Stacie uses in the I'm Not Missing You video!), and it definitely complete this layout. I'm proud of it.
HTML Used - Frames and I-frames
Rachael's Thoughts - I love this one. I love the whole old 30's, 40's feel of it. The design is simple but still professional and original. One of my favorites so far :)

PREVIOUS LAYOUTS

Version : I'm Not Missing Purple
Released - May 30, 2006
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - I used the promo pic for "I'm Not Missing You" from StacieOrrico.com, and a few photos from Stacie's Asia Tour 2004.
Fonts Used - Times, don't remember what else
Colors Used - Shades of purple/pink, white, gray, black
Inspired By - I'm not really sure, I was inspired by the picture, but I wanted it to look very different from the actual picture itself. First, I created a bright pink layout - but I showed my friend Rachel, and she told me it was TOO pink and I agreed. So I decided to tone it down and make it a bit darker and it ended up purple, but I like it!
HTML Used - Frames and I-frames
Rachael's Thoughts - I love the colors in this layout. I don't think the layout is very complicated (html wise) like the last one, but I like how it turned out. I'm sure I'll come up with something better when more new promo pics come out - but for now this one will do!

Version : Light Green & Music Videos
Released - January 3, 2005
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Pictures used were from Glamour Magazine, a press photo for "More to Life", and caps from Stacie's six music videos.
Fonts Used - Times New Roman, 04b, Arial Black, and Arial
Colors Used - Shades of green, gray, white, black
Inspired By - I'm not sure what I was inspired by exactly. I just wanted to make something new and different and this i what I came up with it. I guess you could say I was inspired by Stacie's music videos, since each section of the site is themed with a certain Stacie video!
HTML Used - Frames and I-frames
Rachael's Thoughts - I like this one alot! I love that the top graphic rotates and all the cool rollover images. I like the new setup through .cgi - helps me make things much simpler! I also like how each section uses pic from one of Stacie's music videos. It's a cool way to see Stacie's career thus far...as we anticipate the next album. Credit to a cool friend for helping me code this layout - thanks so much!!
Rachael's Rating - 9.5/10
Unfortunately, I don't have all the graphics from my layouts before August 2002, so this is all we have - but at least it's something!

Version : Glamourous at the Grammys
Released - September 3, 2004
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Pictures used were from WireImage, they are from Stacie at the 2004 Grammy Awards
Fonts Used - Beautiful, Arial, and Times New Roman
Colors Used - Dark red, black, gray, and white
Inspired By - I was having a hard time making a layout that I truly liked until Victoria gave me an idea to make a 'glamour' layout with the Grammy photos. I thought her idea sounded great, so I tried it out and everything just came together.
HTML Used - Frames and I-frames
Rachael's Thoughts - This is definitely a bit more artistic and 'pretty' than my other layouts I've made lately. I just wanted something new since I felt my last layout was really plain. There are some cons about this one though. I'm not a fan of the scrollbars, but it's my only choice with i-frames. This layout is also highly recommended for 1024x768 screens. But all in all, I love it.

Version : Breaking Out in Red
Released - January 11, 2004
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Pictures used were used from WireImage, they are from Stacie's appearance on MTV's TRL!
Fonts Used - Salvation, Courier New and 04b_03
Colors Used - Red, black, and white
Inspired By - Stacie's outfit in the picture! I loved her black outfit with the bold red necklace.
HTML Used - Tables and I-frames
Rachael's Thoughts - I like the way this layout looks! It's professional but also different from anything else out there. This is probably one of the first layout red layouts I've made in a long time and I think it suits the site well! Although, I don't think it's as unique as the Pink one - this is still great!

Version : Stuck on You
Released - March 23, 2003
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Pictures used were all capped from Stacie's music video for "Stuck", thanks Victoria for them!
Fonts Used - French Script, Airstream, and Arial Black
Colors Used - Hot pink, light pink, off-white, and black
Inspired By - The 50's theme of the "Stuck" video, that's why I incorporated polka dots and records hehe :)
HTML Used - Tables
Rachael's Thoughts - Yep another new one! I was getting sick of the orange and purple one since I made that layout back in OCTOBER (even though it wasn't on the site until February), so I need a change. I like the fresh look of this layout, theres a couple things I think I could have done better - but overall I really enjoy it and think it's pretty unique :) A fan favorite.

Version : Being Genuine in an Artificial World
Released - February 1, 2003
Programs Used - Paint Shop Pro 7 (graphics), Notepad (HTML), WS_FTP (Transferring files)
Pics Used - Pictures used were scans from Stacie's book "Genuine: Being Real in an Artificial World"
Fonts Used - Times New Roman, Arial and Fango
Colors Used - Orange and Purple
Inspired By - The flower graphic used in Stacie's book - I thought it was awesome! I was really inspired by the design of Stacie's book!
HTML Used - Tables
Rachael's Thoughts - This one was a great design! But by the time I got it up I was already sick of it, since I made it back in October '02. I loved the layering effects I used on the main graphic, it gave it a really unique look. One of my favorites!

Version: Stayin' True for Fans Like You
Released - August 1, 2002

Pics Used - Pictures were from Stacie's rehearsal performance for her concert in Amsterdam 2001
Fonts Used - Century Gothic, Carpenter and Micro
Colors Used - Light green, white and black
Inspired By - I was pretty much inspired by seeing alot of other websites making simple, professional designs and I thought I should try it myself but still make it fun and unique!
Rachael's Thoughts - This one looked really nice! I loved how I set the site up into 3 columns on the main page..it really made it neat and organized. And I love the small individual graphics that I made hehe. But I did have a problem with setting up my sections without them looking like "too much". But overall, I enjoyed this layout alot!!
